The honor code that defines all true Ultimate players, the Spirit of the Game will prevail over all else.

UPA Rules of Play
All CUA Ultimate play is governed by the official Ultimate Player's Association 11th Edition Rules .

Captains Prerogative
To accomadate unpredictable game curcumstances, the rules of play may be modified with mutual agreement by both captains. Exceptions are that the changes must be agreed upon before the start of the game, and cannot affect the start or finish times set by the league. CUA reserves the right to overide any captain aggrements if the agreement conflicts with CUA policy, rule or operation of an event.

Game Length & Score
Regular season games for team based leagues are played to 13, regular season games for draft based leagues are played to 15. Each team is entitled two timeouts per half with a total of three timouts (this is different from 11th Edition Rules).

  • Sunday leagues are one hour and twenty (1:20) minutes
  • Team based leagues are fifty-five (55) minutes

It is the responsibility of each teams captain to submit weekly game scores via the website prior to the next weeks' games and to report tournament day scores to Frisbee Central within five (5) minutes of game completion.

Game Coordination
Games are started and stopped using a loud horn or whistle. Please listen carefully for these signals as fields can be spread out.

1 Long Horn Start/End of game

Pickups
Individual pickups are allowed during regular season play provided the pickup player has been approved by the opposing captain (or individual acting as captain). The pickup MUST
be approved prior to playing, if the individual plays with the team and the opposing captain was not given a chance to deny the pickup the offending team will forfeit the game if they won.
